At the 9th International TeachMeet at BETT 2026, held on-site at ExCeL London, United Kingdom, Dr. Kristóf Fenyvesi presented “The Future of Our ‘Future Classrooms’ and Education’s Planetary Responsibility.” During the presentation, he highlighted the work of the University of Jyväskylä’s Innovative Learning Environments (ILE) research group, including the STEPAM project, as an example of innovative approaches to the future of education.
STEPAM Presented in an AI-in-Education Professional Development Programme in Beijing (15 – 21 january, 2026)
Dr. Kristóf Fenyvesi led a one-week intensive AI-in-education professional development programme for approximately 100 teachers from primary and secondary schools in Beijing. The programme focused on the pedagogical use of artificial intelligence across disciplines, with particular emphasis on inquiry-based learning, STEAM integration, ethical reflection and problem-oriented teaching.
Within this context, current projects of the University of Jyväskylä’s Innovative Learning Environments (ILE) research group, including STEPAM, were presented as examples of innovative approaches connecting inquiry-based learning, STEAM education and ethical perspectives on emerging technologies.
